I’d been listening to some of those old time songs
Where two people go walking in the park beneath the stars above
And those songs got me thinking all wrong and I thought it was love

I’d been watching old movies for heavens sake
Where there’s magic and then ‘happy ever after’- and all of that stuff
And those movies confused me- that must be why I thought it was love
